Funeral services for Mary Ellen Morrison, 87, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Ms. Morrison passed away in Albany, GA, on Thursday, January 18, 2018.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Morrison, Adam Morrison, Trey Morrison and Brian Morrison. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lydia Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church.

Ms. Morrison was born on January 18, 1931, in Cairo, GA, to the late Curtis Elmer Morrison and Mary Etta Ingram Morrison. She worked with the Utilities Department for the City of Cairo until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo.

Survivors include: a nephew, Kent Morrison (Christine) of Albany, GA; several cousins and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Perry Morrison; and a sister, Dorene Chester.
