Mary Hazel Dollar
July 7, 1928 – May 5, 2023

Funeral services for Mary Hazel Dollar, 94, of Leesburg, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Dollar passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA, on May 5, 2023.

Active pallbearers will be Shawn Boyette, Robbie Dollar, Will Brantley, Jed DeFore, Max Kelly and James Kelly.

Mrs. Dollar was born on July 7, 1928, in Cairo, GA, to the late Dee Darus and Floree Andrews Darus.  On February 5, 1949, she married Horace F. Dollar, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1991.  They were married for 42 years.  She was a homemaker and member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her children, Bobby Dollar (Lynn) of Cumming, GA, Karen Dollar Beamon (John) of Leesburg, GA; grandchildren, Robbie Dollar of Stone Mountain, GA, Julia Dollar Fleischman (Andrew) of Decatur, GA, Shawn Boyette (Melissa) of Albuquerque, NM, Valerie Brantley (Jed DeFore) of Kingsland, GA; great-grandchildren, Colin Fleischman, Jane Fleischman, both of Decatur, GA, Will Brantley, Katelyn Brantley, both of Kingsland, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Randall Darus and Curtis Darus.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
