Funeral services for Mary Keene Brady Hewett, 82, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2016, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Walter Brady and Rev. William Hurst will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Hewett passed away at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home, Pelham, GA, on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mrs. Hewett was born on July 28, 1933, in Pine Park, GA, to the late Daniel Kenneth Keene and Savannah Elizabeth Scott Keene. She was married to Hubert Brady and Troy Hewett, both of whom preceded her in death. She owned and operated a child day care center in Cairo for 27 years. She was a member of Cairo First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include: sons, Walter Brady (Becky Jo) of Calvary, GA, Bobby Brady of Cairo, GA; daughters, Annie Brady Jamerson (Charles) of Pelham, GA, Lynn Brady Gainous (David) of Cairo, GA; step-daughters, Krista Hewett Carter (Ricky) of Thomasville, GA, Helen Hewett Sellers (Bobby) of Cairo, GA; step-son, Sonny Hewett of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Hope Brady, Faith Connell, Daniel Brady, all of Tifton, GA, Shane Brady, Tyler Brady, Thomas Lee Brady, Lee Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, John Johnson, Kelly Johnson, Michael Johnson, Tommy Gainous, Jeffery Sellers, Jessica Sellers, all of Cairo, GA, William Hurst of Perry, GA, Trey Gainous of Whigham, GA, Ricky Carter of Pelham, GA, Kim Mann of Tallahassee, FL, Daniell Jamerson of Clearwater, FL; 37 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Gladys Ard of DeFuniak Springs, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: parents, husbands, Hubert Lee Brady, Troy Hewett; daughter-in-law, Becky Brady; granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Hurst; sisters, Clara Lou Keene, Sue Norton, Ethel Collins, Edyce Reynolds, Ola Albritton; and brothers, Joe Keene, Johnny Keene, Clyde Keene, Delma Keene.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, February 4, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
