Maurice Glenn Rykard, Sr.
February 20, 1962 – February 2, 2018

Funeral services for Glenn Rykard, Sr., 55, of Ochlocknee, GA (Grady County), are at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chief Andrew Jones will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Rykard passed away at his home in Grady County, GA, on Friday, February 2, 2018.

Active pallbearers will be Stanley Elkins, James Hawthorne, David Todd, Jr., Chris Harrell, David Quick and Phillip Justice.

Mr. Rykard was born on February 20, 1962, in Brunswick, GA, to the late Cecil Maurice Rykard, Sr. and Hazel Hooks Rykard Burbridge, who survives. He served his country in the United States Army. Glenn was the operations manager for the Grady County Road Department.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Rykard of Ochlocknee, GA; sons, Thomas Bowman (Cateasha) of Thomasville, GA, Maurice Glenn Rykard, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Bainbridge, GA; daughter, Amanda Rykard (Daniel) of Ochlocknee, GA; grandchildren, Joseph Riglioni, Jr. of Thomasville, GA, Teanna Hallman of Thomasville, GA, Taylor Brown on Bainbridge, GA, Lilyrose Parrish of Thomasville, GA, Rebecca Rykard of Cairo, GA, Jacob Rykard, of Cairo, GA, Trinity Rykard of Bainbridge, GA; mother, Hazel Burbridge of Whigham, GA; grandmother, Ruth Warren of Whigham, GA; brothers, Cecil Maurice Rykard, Jr. (Connie) of Cairo, GA, Perry Rykard of Whigham, GA; sister, Maurica Rykard of Whigham, GA; niece, Brittany Cason (James) of Cairo, GA; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his father; a son, Benjamin C. Rykard; grandson, Michael R. Dickson; and a niece, Tiffany E. Rykard.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Rykard’s memory to the Spence Volunteer Fire Deptartment.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, February 5, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
