Milton Allen “Jake” Jacobsen, Jr., 80, of Whigham, GA, passed away at his home in Grady County, GA, on Saturday, February 27, 2016. A family sponsored memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe, Tama Tribal Town, Whigham, GA.
Mr. Jacobsen was born on April 14, 1935, in Tampa, FL, to the late Milton Allen Jacobsen, Sr. and Cecil Estelle Starling Jacobsen. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. On November 22, 1979, he married Rosalind Carroll Jacobsen, who survives. He retired from Hertz Truck Rental as a mechanic.
Survivors include: wife, Rosalind Carroll Jacobsen of Whigham, GA; daughters, Lisa Rodrigues (Rolando) of Tampa, FL, Denise Taylor of Tampa, FL, Greta Garcia (Michael) of Tampa, FL; sons, Keith Jacobsen (Noriko) of Seattle, WA, Ralph Jacobsen (Calicia) of Tampa, FL, Kevin Jacobsen (Angela) of Tampa, FL; step-son, Michael Carroll of Lakeland, FL; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jo Parnell of Tampa, FL, Shirley Ann Hunt of Pensacola, FL; brother, Walter Jacobsen of Tampa, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: parents; step-son, Craig Carroll; sister, Carolyn Sassnett; and a brother, William Jacobsen.
