Funeral services for Nancy Elizabeth Bass-Bailey, 77, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2022, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Sandra Bass-Yates will officiate.  Services will conclude at the chapel.  Private interment will be in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, Meigs, GA.  Mrs. Bass-Bailey passed away at Magnolia Place Senior Living, Cairo, GA, on Friday, June 3, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Mikie Newsome, Matthew Brashers, Joseph Santos, Ryan Hickey, Calvin Williams and Jeremy Williams.

Mrs. Bass-Bailey was born on August 4, 1944, in Meigs, GA, to the late Virgil Oneal Hickey and Mattie Lee Taylor Rhames.  On October 14, 2004, she married Frank Bailey, who preceded her in death of December 6, 2018.  She worked in customer service with Walmart, Inc. and as a caregiver.  She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include: her children, Terrie Swain (John) of Sale City, GA, Pamela Williams of Bonifay, FL, Donna Pollock-Miller (David) of Pelham, GA, Alice Santos (Jason) of Baconton, GA; grandchildren, Mandy Harrell (Greg) of Norman Park, GA, Mikie Newsome (Emily) of Sale City, GA, Jared Swain (Rebecca) of Douglas, GA, Jacob Swain (Paige) of Douglas, GA, Jeremy Williams of Bonifay, FL, Calvin Williams (Samantha) of Panama City, FL, Lizzie Williams (Abe) of Panama City, FL, Deidra Apeler (Joe) of Pelham, GA, Matthew Brashers (Haily) of Greenough, GA, Allison Carter (Trenton) of Pelham GA, Jaycee Stone (Ryan) of Baconton, GA, Joseph Santos of Baconton, GA; and a host of 30 great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Hendley of Bainbridge, GA; and a sister-in-law, Margie Hickey of Lake City, FL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, David Bass, husband, Frank Bailey; and brothers, Luther Hickey, James O’Neal Hickey.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service.
