Neal Ray

Memorial services for Neal Ray, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Ray passed away at his home in Grady County, GA, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

Mr. Ray was born on September 2, 1936, in Lumber, GA, to the late Prentice Deloan Ray, Sr. and Bertha Floyd Ray. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was married to Willene Mathis Ray, who preceded him in death on June 10, 2006. He retired from the UPS Corporation as a driver. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: brother, P. D. Ray of Sebring, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: wife, parents; brothers, Edward Ray, Wilbur Ray, Dan Ray; sisters, Elizabeth Stapleton, Leona Paul.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5, 2016, immediately following the memorial service.
