Funeral services for Patricia Alday Massey, 53, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Living Hope Faith Center, Cairo, GA. Rev. Steve Singletary will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Massey passed away at her home in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
Active pallbearers will be Johnny Massey, Charles Sanders, Jerry Massey, Eddie Alday, Eric White and Steven Bible.
Mrs. Massey was born on January 18, 1966, in Tampa, FL, to the late Luther Alday and Diane Martin Brock, who survives. Patricia was a 1984 graduate of Cairo High School. On September 29, 1984, she married Johnny Massey, who survives. She worked at Ithaca Industries for many years.
Survivors include: her husband of 34 years, Johnny Massey of Cairo, GA; daughters, Whitney Massey of Cairo, GA, Jamie Bible (Steven) of Calvary, GA; son, Johnny Lee Massey (Brooke) of Camilla, GA; 9 grandchildren and 1 more grandchild on the way; mother, Diane Brock (J.B.) of Cairo, GA; brother, Eddie Alday (Wendy) of Bainbridge, GA; sister, Teresa Dalton of Cairo, GA; sisters-in-law, Pat Sanders (Charles), Beverly Massey, Paulette Massey; brother-in-law, Jerry Massey (Dianne); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
The family wishes to express appreciation for the loving care given by Roger J. Pierce, Jr. of Hospice of SW Georgia.
She was preceded in death by: her father; mother-in-law, Ruby Shanholtzer; and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Massey.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, May 27, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
