Patricia Bonfield Salapa
September 22, 1950 – October 23, 2022
Patricia Ann Bonfield Salapa, 72, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, October 23, 2022. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at a later time.
Mrs. Salapa was born on September 22, 1950, in Thomasville, GA, to the late William Joseph Bonfield and Katherine Keaton Bonfield. On August 10, 1974, she married Gary Salapa, who survives. Pat was a project manager with Child Support Enforcement with the State of Florida. She was a member of Family Worship Center in Cairo.
Pat was a fun -loving person that lived life to the fullest. Her love for her family was deep and there was nothing she wouldn’t do or no sacrifice too great for her to make for her family. Her faith in the Lord was always strong, no matter what she was going through. She was an encourager and she always made others feel like there was nothing they couldn’t do or accomplish. The world will be a different place without Pat and her “bear-tight” hugs. She loved fiercely and will be missed so much.
Survivors include: her husband, Gary Salapa of Cairo, GA; children, Courtney S. King of Cairo, GA, Whitney Salapa of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Reagan King, Ashton King, Caden King, and Brinley Singletary, all of Cairo, GA; sister, Jean Goodwin of Bradenton, FL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy Vacca (Tom) of Cleveland, OH, Pat Rawls (Lloyd) of Orlando, FL, Bryan Salapa of Cleveland, OH, Dale Salapa (Suzanne) of Orlando, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Blake.
