Paulette Barrett Williams

Funeral services for Paulette Barrett Williams, 87, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2024, at Pine Park Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Brandon Smith will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Williams passed away at her home on Friday, June 28, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Brandon McCrary, Troy McCrary, Travis Williams, Stanley Elkins, Jason Allen and Troy Merritt.

Mrs. Williams was born on December 6, 1936, in Pelham, GA, to the late Paul Barrett and Effie Barrett.  On June 17, 1987, she married Charles Lavon Williams, who preceded her in death on April 16, 2023.  She retired as a supervisor with Coats America Threads in Thomasville.  She was a member of Pine Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her son, Terry Bishop of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Angela McCrary (Troy) of Cairo, GA, Cyndi Bishop of Moultrie, GA; great-grandchildren, Brandon McCrary (Taylor) of Cairo, GA; Paige Mitchell, Michelle Mitchell, Alexis Mitchell, Jessica Bishop, Colby Mitchell, all of Thomasville, GA; great-great-grandchildren, Thorne McCrary, Renesmee Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and three brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends at Pine Park Baptist Church on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
