Memorial services for Rachael Lynn Poppell, 40, of Cairo, GA, are 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home. Pastor Johnny H. Moore will officiate. Ms. Poppell passed away at her home, Cairo, GA, on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

Ms. Poppell was born on June 13, 1983, in Tampa, Florida, to Richard William Benton and Julia Ann Stinson Casey, who survive. She was a retail salesclerk.

Survivors include her children, Nicole Poppell (Darian Elias Johnson) of Cairo, GA, Hailey Lynn Poppell of Thomasville, GA and Nathin Ferguson of Cairo, GA; granddaughter, Melani Reign Johnson of Cairo, GA, mother, Julia Ann Casey (Sean Xavier) of Cairo, GA; father, Richard William Benton, of Springfield, MO; siblings, Belinda Morton of Cairo, GA, Andreas Casey of Tallahassee, FL, Elijah Casey of Cairo, GA, Sinead Casey of Cairo, GA, Aurielle Wilson of Cairo, GA and Georgia Morrow of Louisville, KY; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. She is also survived by a special caregiver, Angel Hill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eric Poppell.
