Private graveside funeral services for Rebecca “Becky” Burns, 79, of Cairo, GA, are on, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Lax, GA.  Rev. Chris Allen will officiate.  Mrs. Burns passed away at her home on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

Mrs. Burns was born on October 29, 1940, in Atlanta, GA, to John Paul Tucker and Mary Dial Tucker, who preceded her in death.  On May 18, 1963, she married Robert “Bobby” Burns who survives.  She worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Atlanta prior to moving to Cairo in 1968.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert “Bobby” Burns of Cairo, GA; daughter, Angie Holton and husband, Robert of Albany, GA; son, Robbie Burns and wife, Karen of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Morgan Burns, Jonathan Burns, Jordan Burns, all of Cairo, GA, Ellis Holton, Burns Holton, Thomas Holton, all of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
