Robert Earl Ansley

Funeral services for Robert Earl Ansley, 85, of Pelham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2024, at Pine Forest Baptist Church, Ochlocknee, GA. Ken Ansley and John Ansley will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA. Mr. Ansley passed away at his home on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Mr. Ansley was born on September 8, 1939, in Cairo, GA, to the late Henry Lee Ansley and Madie Nix Ansley. On October 30, 1965, he married Charlotte Jean Gainous Ansley, who survives. They were married for over 59 years. He was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include: his wife, Charlotte Jean Ansley of Pelham, GA; sons, Kenneth Ansley (Gail) of Cairo, GA, Kevin Ansley (Dee) of Thomasville, GA, John Ansley (DeAnn) of Ochlocknee, GA; daughter, Angie Harrell (Stacy) of Cairo, GA; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Maelene Shores of Albany, GA; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Ansley of Thomasville, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his daughter, Kay Ansley; and brothers, Hubert Ansley and Hershel Ansley.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Ansley’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends at Pine Forest Baptist Church on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
