Robert Randall Chester

Funeral services for Robert Randall Chester, 89, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2024, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Mike Mobley will officiate.  Services will conclude at the chapel.   Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mr. Chester passed away at Archbold Living in Cairo, GA, on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Mr. Chester was born on August 12, 1934, in Whigham, GA, to the late Oliver Leland Chester and Mary Darsey Chester.  After graduation from Whigham High School in 1954, he served his country in the United States Army.  He worked as a truck driver and later as a farmer during his lifetime.  He enjoyed fishing and his favorite canine friends.  He enjoyed following Florida State Seminole football over the years.  He enjoyed talking with everyone that he encountered.  He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: his brother, William Oliver Chester of Whigham, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Oliver Leland and Mary Chester; his brother, Steven Darsey Chester; and a sister, Mary Frances Chester McCluskey.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
