Funeral services for Ruby Mae Barlow Bynum, 79, of Newton, AL, formerly of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate. Interment will be in Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Bynum passed away at her daughter’s home in Newton, AL, on Saturday, September 14, 2019.

Active pallbearers will be Caleb Bowens, Don Sellers, Sammy John King, Jeremy Hall, Danny Sellers, Dewayne Combee and Robert Chamber.

Mrs. Bynum was born on April 28, 1940, in Cairo, GA, to the late L. G. Barlow and Mary Louise Cox Barlow. On April 4, 2000, she married James L. Bynum, Sr., who preceded her in death on June 2, 2011. She was employed for many years with Bagley Bait Company in Winter Haven, FL.

Survivors include: daughters, Sylvia Sellers, Theresa Sellers, both of Newton, AL; sons, Danny Sellers, Don Sellers, both of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Tonya Herring, Jeremy Hall, Grace Locke all of Dothan, AL, Amanda and David Wimberly, Winter Haven, FL, Tammy Sellers, Danny Sellers, Jr., Tiffany Sellers, all of Dothan, AL, Jennifer Sellers and Jessica Sellers of Dothan, AL; great-grandchildren, Brittany Herring and Alana Hall of Dothan, AL, Sophie Hall of Dothan, AL; and a brother, Franklin Barlow (Shirley) of Boston, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
