Ruby Tuggle Barrett
January 9, 1938 – September 3, 2021

Ruby Annell Tuggle Barrett, 83, of Cairo, GA, passed away at her home on Friday, September 3, 2021.  Interment will be in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Barrett was born on January 9, 1938, in Cairo, GA, to the late J. W. Tuggle and Ruby Bell Hester Tuggle.  In 1958, she married Emory Barrett, who preceded her in death.  She retired as a dietician with Southwestern State Hospital in Thomasville, GA.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: her daughter, Sue L. Barrett of Cairo, GA; granddaughter, Piper Rehberg; great-grandchildren, Logan Rehberg of Tallahassee, FL, Landon Heath; sisters, Shirley Bennett of Cairo GA; Linda Counts (Glenn) of Weed, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter, Teresa Nell Barrett; brothers, Milton Tuggle, Frazier Tuggle; and sisters, Margaret Tuggle, Worbie Sellers, Helen Smith, Agnes Prince, Martha Williford.
