Ruth Daughtry Cook

Funeral services for Ruth Daughtry Cook, 102, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, Climax, GA.   Elder Thad Marshall will officiate.  Interment will be in Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Climax, GA.  Mrs. Cook passed away at Rose City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Mrs. Cook was born on May 21, 1920, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Zack W. Daughtry and Isa Dora Sanders Daughtry.  She was married to Hiram P. Cook, who preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include: her son, Wayne P. Cook (Janet) of Titusville, FL; grandchildren, Lyndsey Bell (Alex) of Tallahassee, FL, John Cook (Kalli) of Ocala, FL; great-grandchildren, Morgan Bell and Lyla Cook; sister, Lula Long (James) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and 11 brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Cook’s memory to: Bethany Hospice & Palliative Care, 2012 E. Pinetree Blvd, Suite A, Thomasville, GA 31792.

The family will receive friends at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
