Ruth Pope Rich
March 15, 1941 – August 18, 2020  

Private funeral services for Ruth Pope Rich, 79, of Cairo, GA, are on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Al Sessions will officiate.  Interment will be in Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mrs. Rich passed away at Pinewood Nursing Home in Whigham, GA, on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

Mrs. Rich was born on March 15, 1941, in Warner Robins, GA, to the late Hubie Pope and Alice Pope.  On August 13, 1956, she married Clifton Rich, who survives.  They were married for 64 years.  Before her retirement, she was the financial aid director for the Georgia Board of Education.  She was a devoted member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: her husband, Clifton Rich of Cairo, GA; son, Dennis Clifton Rich of Cairo, GA; a grandson, Dennis Christian Rich of Cairo, GA; and a stepsister, Inez Howard of Warner Robins, GA.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Kenneth Lee Rich.
