Sammy Julian Scarboro
March 16, 1941 – November 3, 2021

Funeral services for Sammy Julian Scarboro, 79, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  The church address is: 2678 Lower Hawthorne Trail, Cairo, GA 39828.  Rev. Charlie Parker will officiate.  Interment will be later in Evergreen Cemetery, Greenville, FL.  Mr. Scarboro passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

Pallbearers will be Brian Barnard, Randy Coffield, Franklin Keller, Wayne McDaniel, Myron Jones, Tracey Walden, Tyler Lee, Chris King and Doug Dickerson.

Mr. Scarboro was born on March 16, 1941, in Sermons, FL, to the late Charles Scarboro and Evelyn Scarboro.  In 1962, he married Linda Braswell Scarboro, who survives.  He was the owner and operator of Capital Hydraulics until his retirement.  He attended Pine Hill Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda B. Scarboro of Cairo, GA; granddaughter, Haylee Morgan Britt of Helen, GA; and cousins, Brian Elam of Phoenix, AZ, Franklin Keller of Crawfordville, FL, Ronnie Scarboro of Greenville, FL, Tracy Wujcik of Tallahassee, FL, Terry Wujcik of Plantation, FL, Sonny Elam of Ott, GA, Boyt Lee Elam of Tampa, FL, Jerry Elam of Boone, NC, Ralph Sellers of Carrabelle, FL, Darlene Pearce of Carrabelle, FL.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his daughter, Kimberly Scarboro Britt; and a sister, DeEtta Scarboro.

The family will receive friends at Pine Hill Baptist Church on Sunday, November 7, 2021, immediately following the funeral service.
