Samuel “Coot” Singletary

Samuel “Coot” Singletary, 86, of Pelham, GA, passed away at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in Pelham, GA, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Community Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Singletary was born on April 12, 1935, in Pelham, GA, to the late Jake “J.T.” Singletary and Lennie L. Sellars Singletary.  He worked in the mobile home industry with Doug Keller in moving and setup of new homes.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his children, Alvin “Peewee” Singletary of Moultrie, GA, Brenda Johnson (Joey) of Pelham, GA, Sammie Singletary of Camilla, GA; grandchildren, Pamela “Brooke” Taylor (Nick) of Ochlocknee, GA, Samantha Radney of Pelham, GA, Emily Taylor of Pelham, GA, Georgia Singletary of Pelham, GA, Ethan Singletary of Macon, GA, Laci Rixie of Ochlocknee, GA; great-grandchildren, Grayson Baggett of Ochlocknee, GA, Emma’Gail Lynn Baggett of Ochlocknee, GA, Dakarai Williams of Pelham, GA, Adam B. Johnson of Pelham, GA, Ava Maldonado of Ochlocknee, GA; sisters, Frances Carroll (Jerry) of Cairo, GA, Catherine Comerford (Eddie) of Ochlocknee, GA, Lavon “Jabo” Singletary (Donna) of Ochlocknee, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and a sister.
