Memorial services for Sandra Jean “Sandie” Collis, 70, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2019, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny H. Moore will officiate. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Collis passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Mrs. Collis was born on April 23, 1948, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to the late William Raymond McCullough and Doris Lillian Newhall McCullough. On February 18, 1971, she married Shorty Collis, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2007. She retired as a medical assistant with Mitchell County Pediatrics.

Survivors include: daughters, Heather Tinker (Richard) of Cairo, GA, Carrie Carter of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Ronald Carter, III, Darby Carter, both of Cairo, GA, Ashlyn McClure (Roger) of Jenkin, GA, Victoria Shaffer of Cairo, GA; and a brother, William “Bill” McCullough of Cairo, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The family will receive friends Clark Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service.
