Sarah Dell Dekle
September 7, 1932 – April 9, 2024

Funeral services for Sarah Dell Dekle, 91, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Cairo Church of the Nazarene, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Bryan Gainous will officiate.  Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Mrs. Dekle passed away at Memorial Health and Manor, Bainbridge, GA, on Wednesday, April 9, 2024.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kendall Taylor, Wyatt Byrd, Billy Byrd, James Merritt, Sidney Curby and Allen Hartsfield.

Mrs. Dekle was born on September 7, 1932, in Ozark, AL to the late Wyatt Elias Clayton and Rhoda V. Hall Clayton.  She married William Guss Bishop in 1957 and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1966.

She worked for Coats and Clark for 48 years.  Later, she worked for Wal-Mart for 14 years.  She was a member at Cairo Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include:  her sister, Sue Willis of Whigham, GA; sister-in-law, Minnie Lee Clayton of Whigham, GA; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; her husband, William Guss Bishop; sister, Frances Oliver; and brother, Leonard Clayton.

The family will receive friends at Cairo Church of the Nazarene immediately following the service.
