Stephen “Steve” David Pearce

Graveside Services for Stephen “Steve” David Pearce, 60, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017, in Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Dr. Ron McCaskill will officiate. Steve Pearce, the beloved son of the late Fred and Marlene Pearce, and the beloved, irreplaceable brother of Fred Pearce, Jr., went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 26, 2017. He passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, GA.

Mr. Pearce was born on June 12, 1956, in Thomasville, GA. Mr. Pearce was an LPN having worked with Grady General Hospital for many years, and later in his nursing career with Pinewood Nursing Home. He was of the Baptist faith, and grew up in the Cairo First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: brother, Fred Pearce, Jr., of Cairo, GA; a host of cousins and aunts; close family friends, Ronnie and Brenda Newton, Ruth Irwin, and Joy Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial may be made in Mr. Pearce’s memory to the American Red Cross. Please follow donation instructions given on their web site.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017, immediately following the service in Cairo Cemetery.
