Funeral services for Sue Elaine Scott, 69, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Pastor Glenn Scoggin and Pastor Jeremy Chupp will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Mrs. Scott passed away at her home on Friday, November 19, 2021.
Active pallbearers will be Billy Willis, Russell Yates, Jay Bentley, Terrance Collins, John Russell and Franklin Brinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Ouzts, Jerry Harrell, Alvin Mitchell, Tommy Chastain, Mike Orme, Phillip Davis, Rex Halstead, Bryan Lewis, Randall Meadows and David Harrell.
Mrs. Scott was born on December 13, 1951, in Cleo, AL, to the late Price Tyler and Myrtice Irene Kelly Price. On July 24, 1970, she married Jack Scott, who survives. They have been married for 51 years. She retired as the records secretary from the Belle Glade Florida Police Department. She was a member of Hilltop Bible Baptist Church in Cairo.
Survivors include: her husband, Jack Scott of Cairo, GA; children, Daniel Scott of Round Rock, TX, Rebecca Maynor (Denny) of Okeechobee, FL; grandchildren, Madelyn Scott of San Marcos, TX, Gavin Scott of Austin, TX, Katelyn Maynor of Pahokee, FL, Kyle Maynor of Pahokee, FL; great-grandchildren, Ariella Ruiz, Jaelynn Ruiz, Kanden Ruiz, Liam Maynor, Ryleigh Maynor; brother, Larry Tyler (Delores) of Donalsonville, GA; sisters, Patricia Stroud (Richard) of Wray, GA, Janice Mackanick (Al) of Okeechobee, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
