Sylvia Dianne Bishop

Sylvia Dianne Bishop, 64, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Friday, July 24, 2020.  The family will have a private graveside funeral service in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.

Mrs. Bishop was born on September 28, 1955, in Miami, FL, to the late James P. Phelps, Jr. and Nelda Ruth Jenkins Phelps.  On November 21, 2015, she married James Enfinger, who survives.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: husband, James Enfinger of Cairo, GA; daughter, Tina Hooks of Donalsonville, GA; son, Michael Bishop, Jr. of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, Amber Hooks, Michael Bishop, III, Hunter Murkerson, Lori Bishop; brothers, Allen Phelps (Diane) of Cairo, GA, Tommy Phelps (Debbie) of Quincy, FL, Robert Phelps (Judy) of Cairo, GA, Gary Phelps (Teresa) of Cairo, GA, Peyton Phelps (Martha) of Thomasville, GA; step-son, James H. Enfinger, Jr. (Brooke) of Mineral Wells, WV; step-daughter, Martha Autumn Lane of Cairo, GA; step-grandchildren, Henley Enfinger, James Enfinger, III, Joanna Enfinger, Joel Enfinger, Coal Enfinger, Gavin Owens, Lucas Lane; brother-in-law, Steve Enfinger (Jeaneva) of Camilla, GA, Johnny W. Enfinger (Denita) of Camilla, GA, Norman H. Banks (Renae) of Pelham, GA, George T. Banks of Cairo, GA; sister-in-law, June Ellen Adams (Jerry) of Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Mike Bishop; and a daughter, Carrie Bishop.
