Teddie Elzie Keller
November 11, 1936 – July 7, 2024

Funeral services for Teddie Elzie Keller, 87, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Billy Stephens will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Military honors will be presented.  Mr. Keller passed away at Legacy Village at Plantation Manor, Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Daniel Chason, Matthew Young, Brandon Keller, Jason Maxwell, Bryson Cape and Dennis Clark.

Mr. Keller was born on November 11, 1936, in Pelham, GA, to the late Teddie D. Keller and Iona Cox Keller.  He served his country in the United States Army from January 1955 to December of 1957.  On June 19, 1959, he married Evelyn Joyce Hunter Keller, who preceded him in death on April 10, 2009.  He retired as a master auto mechanic.  He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include: children, Deborah Chason of Ochlocknee, GA, Benita Maxwell (Robert) of Cairo, GA, Timothy Keller of Whigham, GA, Phillip B. Keller of Tifton, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Chason (Charlene) of Ochlocknee, Ga, Matthew Young (Stephanie) of Cairo, GA, Ashley Smith (Chad) of Valdosta, GA, Brian Keller of Tampa, FL, Jason Maxwell (Laura) of Cairo, GA, Brandon Keller (Katie) of Tifton, GA, Hannah Cape (Bryson) of Cairo, GA, Makayla Tyson (Hunter) of Bainbridge, GA; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Doug Keller of Cairo, GA; sister, Sadie Wade of Leesburg, GA, Joyce Ann Keller of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; daughter, Donna Young; sons-in-law, Thomas Daniel Chason, Terry Young; and a sister, Grace Davis.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Keller’s memory to: The Grady County Honor Guard, P. O. Box 1234, Cairo, GA 39828.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
