Funeral services for Teresa “Terri” Dawn Burdette Barfield, 59, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Eric Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thomasville, GA. Mrs. Barfield passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Tallahassee, FL, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

Active pallbearers will be: Kenneth Barfield, Lee Gaskin, David Singletary, Jamie Edenfield, Jesse Carter and Devin Bell. Honorary pallbearer: Gerald Polk.

Mrs. Barfield was born on August 1, 1957, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Ralph Samuel Burdette, and Martha Dawn Adams Burdette, who survives. On March 31, 1978, she married McArthur Barfield, who survives. She was a CPA, and was employed with Barfield Tile. She was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church, Thomasville, GA.

Survivors include: her husband, McArthur Barfield of Cairo, GA; sons, Joshua Hank Barfield of Cairo, GA, Jesse Samuel Barfield of Cairo, GA; mother, Martha Dawn Adams Burdette of Thomasville, GA; brother, Louis Samuel Burdette of Thomasville, GA; step-daughters, Marsha Ann Faulk (Kenny) of Kathleen, GA, Malissa Adams (Steve) of Newborn, GA; step-grandchildren, Jessica King of Madison, GA, Erica Ozburn of McDonough, GA, Kristin Mulkey of Athens, GA, Jake Monk of Madison, GA, Jennifer Monk of Madison, GA; step-great-grandchildren, Katrina Ozburn of Covington, GA, Stacey King, Levi King, Ethan King all of Madison, GA, Jaelen Marlyere of Grayson, GA, Sophia Cantero of Madison, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Ralph Samuel Burdette; grandparents, George and Connie Adams.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
