Timothy Neal Norton

Memorial services for Timothy Neal Norton, 63, of Whigham, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Wayne Roberts will officiate.  Services will conclude at the chapel.  Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mr. Norton passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Friday, July 1, 2022.

Mr. Norton was born on November 28, 1958, in Cairo, GA, to the late Z. E. Norton and Faye Gay Norton.  He worked in millwright for 45 years and was the owner of ZE Norton Construction.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Melea Nichols Norton of Whigham, GA; children, Becky Norton of Whigham, GA, Lynne Norton Silsby (Elvin) of Williamsburg, VA, Steven Norton of Thomasville, GA, Ana-Melea McGinty (Justin) of Cairo, GA, Tylar Haynes of Cairo, GA; siblings, David Norton (Melissa) of Sylvester, GA, Beth Womble (Juddy) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Cheyenne Todd, Summer Daughtry, Caylynne Norton, Gabe Childs, Zackery Norton, Ethan Silsby, Eli Silsby, Brantley Haynes, Colton Wilkerson, Kayleigh Haynes, Davin Haire; great-grandchild, Brantley Daughtry; and a host of extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his sister, Donna Faye Yowhn; and a granddaughter, Nealy Childs.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
