Funeral services for Tracy Ford Barrett, 78, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Arnold Buckner will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Barrett passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Active pallbearers will be his grandson, Andrew Barrett, Thomas Barrett, Bobby Ray Merritt, Chris Barrett, Spencer Barrett and Josh Barrett.

Mr. Barrett was born on September 15, 1940, in Cairo, GA, to the late Paul Barrett and Ebvie Miller Barrett. On March 26, 1960, he married Mary Osborn Barrett, who survives. He worked as a construction foreman with Southern Concrete Construction Company. He was a member of Cotton Assembly.

Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Mary Osborn Barrett of Ochlocknee, GA; children, Larry Barrett (Cathy) of Ochlocknee, GA, Bragg Barrett (Loretta) of Ochlocknee, GA, Sybil Merritt (Troy) of Cairo, GA, Dean Barrett (Belinda) of Cairo, GA; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edwin Barrett (Sara) of Thomasville, GA, Robert Barrett of Ochlocknee, GA, Paulette Williams (Lavon) of Cairo, GA, Randall Barrett (Jeanette) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents: his grandson, Anthony Hale; sister and brother-in-law, Oren and Earl Tucker; and a sister-in-law, Inez Barrett.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, October 1, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
