Velma L. Ponder

Velma L. Ponder, 79, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Archbold Living-Cairo on Saturday, August 17, 2024.  No services are planned at this time.

Miss Ponder was born on August 15, 1945, in Whigham, GA, to the late Alton Claude Ponder and Edna Chason Ponder.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: her sister, Wanda Parker of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and brothers, Claude Lee Ponder, Edwin Ponder, Otis L. Ponder.
