Funeral services for Verla Waldron Pritchett, 74, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018, at El Bethel Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Rev. Bob Knight and Frank Pritchett will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Pritchett passed away at her home in Whigham, GA, on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

Active pallbearers will be Raburn Avery, Paul Forrester, Tommy Pyles, Randy Moore, Ken Salter, Irvin Brock and Earl Stucky.

Mrs. Pritchett was born on January 25, 1944, in Whigham, GA, to the late Russell Dwight Waldron and Jessie Mae Fain Waldron. On February 27, 1963, she married Jerry Pritchett, who survives. She was a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. She worked in Bainbridge area. She was a devoted member of El Bethel Baptist Church in Whigham.

Survivors include: her husband of 54 years, Jerry Pritchett of Whigham, GA; sons, Rusty Pritchett (Dana) of Whigham, GA, Rodney Pritchett (April) of Brinson, GA; grandchildren, Morgan Pritchett of Thomasville, GA, Kaitlyn Pritchett of Valdosta, GA, Eryn Pritchett of Cairo, GA, Breanna Pritchett of Brinson, GA; and great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Lindsay of Thomasville, GA, Rosie Kate Lindsay of Thomasville, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service at the church.
