Funeral services for Walter Lee Wright, Jr., 42, of Whigham, GA, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Family Worship Center in Cairo, GA. Mr. Wright passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA, on Thursday, May 26, 2016, after sustaining multiple injuries in a car accident.
Pallbearers will include Nicholas Farrell, Matthew Nelsen, Justin Hudson, Brad Barber, Bobby Collins, Wayne Morgan and Carl Hart.
Mr. Wright was born on August 16, 1973, in Miami, FL. He received a master’s degree in strategic intelligence from the American Military University and was the Executive Chef at Darton State College in Albany. He was a member of the American Culinary Federation. His interests included carpentry, woodworking, landscaping, hot rod restoration and marksmanship. Most of all he loved spending time with his family on his farm in Whigham. He was a kind and selfless man who will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: his wife, Miriam Hoiles Wright, who is expecting their child, and a daughter, Adeline Wright, both of Whigham, GA; his parents, Walter Lee Wright, Sr. and Michelle Wright of Homestead, FL, and Patricia Overstreet Wright of Whigham, GA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Linda Gunter of Perry, FL, and father-in-law A. J. Hoiles of Minerva, OH; grandfather, James Wright of Sebring, FL; and a host of beloved extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tracie Lee Wright; his maternal grandparents, Allen and Bonndaleen Overstreet; and his paternal grandmother, Billie Wright.

The family will receive friends at Family Worship Center on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., the funeral hour.
