William Cecil “Billy” Woolfolk, Jr.
February 16, 1951 – October 16, 2022

Funeral services for William Cecil “Billy” Woolfolk, Jr., 71, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Midway Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Kenneth Cloud and Rev. Marc Walters will officiate.  Services will conclude at the church.  Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Woolfolk passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Don Stringer, James Kelly, James Hawthorne, Mac Rosencrantz, J. L. Rosencrantz and Donovan Fletcher.

Mr. Woolfolk was born on February 16, 1951, in Cairo, GA, to the late William Cecil Woolfolk, Sr. and Claudia Horton Woolfolk.  On February 21, 1970, he married Gail Peters Woolfolk, who survives.    Until his retirement he worked as a logger with Mac Rosencrantz Logging.  He was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Gail Woolfolk of Cairo, GA; his daughters, Beth Woolfolk of Whigham, GA, Kelly Hawthorne (Travis) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Hank Hawthorne of Athens, GA; JW Hawthorne of Whigham, GA; sister-in-law, Janette Woolfolk of Valdosta, GA; and a nephew, Scott Woolfolk of Valdosta, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, John Woolfolk.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Woolfolk’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends at Midway Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
