William Hugh Swartz
September 20, 1961 – May 29, 2022

Graveside funeral services for William Hugh Swartz, 60, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Tim Lindsay will officiate.  Mr. Swartz passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, May 29, 2022.

Mr. Swartz was born on September 20, 1961, in Melrose Park, IL, to the late Clyde Arthur Maki and Minnie Ruby Maki.  On September 15, 1990, he married Mary Kaufmann Swartz, who survives.  He was self-employed as a handyman.  He attended Whigham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Swartz of Whigham, GA; children, Kimberly Diane Swartz (Addison) of Pavo, GA, Makayla Cheyanne Swartz of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Harmonie Jade Swartz of Pavo, GA, soon to be, Austin Cade Walker; siblings, David Swartz of AK, Joseph Swartz, Sherrie Anemone, Michelle Maki, Clyde Maki, Jr., Linda Rodriguez (Alex), Michael Maki (Judy), all of Illinois, Shelia Herendeen of Whigham, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and sibling, Diane Swartz, Daniel Swartz, John Maki.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Swartz’s memory to: Whigham Baptist Church, P. O. Box 83, Whigham, GA 39897; or  to the Children’s Miracle Network.
