Memorial services for William Jeffery Carter, 49, of Darien, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Magnolia Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Rev. Jimmy Ausburn will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Mr. Carter passed away at his home in Darien, GA, on Thursday, December 15, 2016.

Mr. Carter was born on March 2, 1967, in Cairo, GA, to Rodrick Jerome Carter, Sr. and Mary Bob Jones Carter, who preceded him in death. Jeffery was involved with boat sales. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his sons, William Carter of Thomasville, GA, Jeffery Carter of Cairo, GA; father, Roderick Jerome Carter (Darlene) of Edison, GA; brother, Jerome Carter (Connie) of Cairo, GA; sisters, Susan Bodiford (Raymond) of Newton, GA; Shannon Watson (Jonathan) of Newton, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother.
