William Roddy Mathis

Services for William Roddy Mathis, 71, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 31, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Billy Ray Pearce and Pastor Johnny H. Moore will officiate. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Roddy was born in Cairo, GA, on June 1, 1946, to the late Fondren Mathis and Clyde Holton Mathis. Roddy was married on April 10, 1964 to Virginia Diane Mathis who preceded him in death on May 19, 2016. Roddy was a Machinist with Torrington.

He is survived by: daughters, Rhonda Hayes of Whigham, GA, Terri McKinnon (Stephen) of Cairo, GA; son-in-law, Tommy Butler of Camilla, GA; grandchildren, Bradley McKinnon (Jasmine) of Cairo, GA, Brianna Hayes, Jake Hayes, of Whigham, GA; sister, Euvene Brinson of Cairo, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Reagan (Butch) of Cairo, GA; brothers-in-law, Dan Pearce (Michael Light) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Ray Pearce (Karin) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Brenda Butler; sisters, Willene Lewis, Bobbie Jean Bass, Jerlene Glass.
