William Samuel Cessna, Sr.
March 3, 1950 – May 25, 2023

Funeral services for William Samuel Cessna, Sr., 73, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. James Scarborough will officiate.  Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Cessna passed away at his home on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Newmons, Rayan Sigley, William Cessna, Richard Cessna, William Ansley and Wesley Cessna.

Mr. Cessna was born on March 3, 1950, in Inverness, MS, to the late Jesse Cessna and Maifred Collier Cessna.  On August 14, 1982, he married Phyllis Encalade Cessna, who survives.  He was a truck driver with RBI Trucking Company in Cairo.

Survivors include: his wife, Phyllis Cessna of Cairo, GA; children, Roxane Thersa Billiot of Lake City, FL, Dale Wayne Billiot (Janet) of Cairo, GA, Dawn Michelle Cessna of Saucier, MS, William Samuel Cessna, Jr. (Bridget) of Slidell, LA, Tommie Marie Cessna of Cairo, GA, Richard Allen Cessna of Slidell, LA, Wesley William Cessna (Ashley) of Cairo, GA; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne Knobloch (Benny) of Raceland, LA, Loretta Leblanc (Gabe) of Carrier, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Dana Denise Sigley: grandson, Justin Sigley; sister, Mary “Birdie” Cessna; and a brother, Michael Cessna, Sr.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
