William Victor “Vic” Gainey

Memorial services for William Victor “Vic” Gainey, 71, of Tallahassee, FL, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate.  Mr. Gainey passed away at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Tallahassee, FL, on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

Mr. Gainey was born on May 1, 1953, in Cairo, GA, to the late William “Bill” Palmer Gainey and the late Doris McCorkle Gainey.  On February 14, 2008, he married Patricia “Tricia” Culbreth Gainey, and she preceded him in death on October 12, 2021.  He worked in Personnel Management.

Survivors include his sister, Beth Gainey Burnam (Don) of Jennings, FL; nieces, Liza Vargason (Corey) of Jennings, FL and Katy Yanossy (Matt) of Live Oak, FL; nephew, Joe Burnam (Molly) of Cairo, GA; eleven great-nieces and nephews; stepdaughter, Victoria Mock (Brian) of Tampa, FL; stepson, Ross Hinkle of Malibu, CA; step-grandchildren, Merritt Mock of Tampa, FL and Ari Tishby Hinkle of Malibu, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
