Funeral services for Willis Byron Collier, 78, of Thomasville, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Trinity Primitive Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Elder Thad Marshall and Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate. Interment will be in Trinity Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. Collier passed away at Thomasville Nursing and Rehab, Thomasville, GA, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Active pallbearers will be the Deacons of Trinity Primitive Baptist Church and Henry Collier, III.
Mr. Collier was born on September 8, 1939, in Meigs, GA, to the late Henry Monroe Collier and Alice Colee Willis Collier. He served his country in the United States Army. He married Glenda Hollingsworth Collier, who survives. He worked in electronics repair for F.E.M.A. and was a member of Trinity Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Glenda Hollingsworth Collier of Thomasville, GA; daughter, Stephanie Benesh (Andrew) of Macon, GA; sister-in-law, Janice Collier of Thomasville, GA; and a nephew, Henry Monroe Collier, III, of Thomasville, GA.
He was preceded in death by: parents; brother, Henry Monroe Collier, Jr.; and a sister, Joyce Rolin.
Memorials may be made in Mr. Collier’s memory to Trinity Primitive Baptist Church, C/O Sammie Perkins, 429 Cleon Waldrop Road, Whigham, GA, 39897.
The family will receive friends at the church following the services.
