Winford Franklin Pearce, Jr.

Winford Franklin Pearce, Jr., 71, of Braselton, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 31, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born January 27, 1951, in Cairo, Georgia, to the late Winford F. Pearce, Sr. and Charlotte Eloise Gilliard Pearce. After graduating from Cairo High School in 1969, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Frank proudly served our country during the Vietnam War from 1969 until 1973.
On May 8, 1983, Frank married the love of his life, Tammy Brinson. Frank owned his own painting business, Pearce Painting, for over 30 years until his retirement due to his health.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Joy Ellen Voegtle, two brothers, Ronald “Ronnie” Lee and William “Bill” David Pearce. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Tammy, and their children, Shelley and Michael Smith (Braselton, GA) and Bud and Kelly Pearce (Warner Robins, GA), grandchildren, Jay Heady, Mikalyn and Olivia Smith (Braselton, GA) and Abel and Nolan Pearce (Warner Robins, GA); a host of nieces, nephews, and many cousins and extended family.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Services to honor Frank will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Long Branch Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be John Higginbotham, Dan Pearce, Steve Anderson, Charlie Norton, Lavon Mills and Jamie Lewis. Major Blake Smith will officiate.
