Winston Carraway, Jr.

Funeral services for Winston Carraway, Jr., 82, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate.  Private interment for the immediate family will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Carraway passed away at his home on January 16, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Mr. Carraway was born on March 19, 1941, in Fort Myers, FL, to the late Winston Carraway, Sr. and Lucille Hall McDonald.  He was an astute businessman owning and operating several business endeavors over the years.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his children, Peggy Jo White of Blakley, GA, Keith Carraway (Lynley) of Cairo, GA, Winston Carraway, III (Debbie) of Cairo, GA, C. J. Carraway (Crystal) of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Brandi Johnson (Patrick), Kristopher Weaver (Jennifer), Brooke Reynolds (Jim), Kelsi DeLange (Kory), Eva Grace Knight, J.W. Knight, Virginia Knight, Hunter Keith Carraway (Sierra), Konner Carraway, Logan Carraway, Michael Carraway, Addison Carraway; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, James Carraway (Linda) of Miami, FL; sister, Lorraine Thomas of Lehigh Acres, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; grandson, Dylan A. Trawick; and his siblings, Terrence M. “Terry” Carraway and Claire Washington.
